Purpose: This position will be responsible for p for providing and/or procuring expert advic advice, consultation and technical assis assistance with oversight to funded agencies to en to ensure they can engage key partners in plann planning and implementing strategies to addre address obesity and hypertension among peopl people living with HIV (PLHW). Critical proje project management responsibilities include coord coordinating the provision of technical assis assistance on program development, imple implementation, evaluation, and fiscal manag management as needed.
Position responsibilities also entail the dev development and management/maintenance of com complex organizational partnerships with fed federal, state, and local coalitions and org organizations. Key responsibilities also inc include leading consultant group to maintain and and evaluate pilot approaches to prevent obe obesity and hypertension among PLWH.
Duties and Responsibilities • Serves as the lead liaison between fund funded agencies and MDHHS staff: o Coordinates communication and tec technical assistance between MDHHS programs and and community partners to ensure all pilot str strategies and activities are implemented wit with high quality and integrity. o Convenes meetings between funded ag agencies, MDHHS staff, and critical state an and community partners as needed. o Works with program consultants, o other internal team members, and funded a agencies to develop media products h highlighting successes of MDHHS and the g grantee project strategies for use by MDHHS a and other various statewide and community g groups. • Lead the provision and coordination of te of technical assistance in the following areas areas: o core project management and lead leadership of the local project o partnerships and subcontracts o financial management and ac accountability o compliance with established grant w work plan and timelines • Collaborate with the evaluation con consultant to facilitate monitoring of per performance measures and oversight of req required data submission from funded age agencies. Coordinates and ensures all the rep reports needed by the grant are submitted. Par Partner with the MDHHS Evaluation Lead to: o implement standard data collection in instruments, as necessary and appropriate o ensure the submission of required e evaluation reports • In collaboration with program consu consultants and analysts, coordinates commu communication and activities for managing contr contracts with agencies to ensure all requi required grant strategies are being fulfi fulfilled at the community level: o Coordinates the preparation and rele release of proposals and program agreements proc process. o Leads agency site visits for pur purposes of fiscal management and contract man management adherence. o Leads and coordinates the provision of of feedback on progress reports. o Develops and disseminates program m materials and summaries to support program a areas. • Participates in and/or assists with t the implementation of new programs and p projects in possible. • Serve as the State Physical Activity C Coordinator. Education: Possession of a master’s degree in public health or a related field such as communication, social work, health communication, or specific master’s degrees re related to health promotion or health pr professions, including physical activity and nu nutrition.
Experience: 10 years of experience in public health, health systems, or with community health agencies/non-profit agencies.

Computer literacy in Mi Microsoft Office programs is expected. Work Environment and Physical Requirements: No significant physical activities are required in this position other than deskwork and lifting of office materials and equipment and materials <50#. Involves the use of standard office equipment and significant computer-related activities such as viewing a CRT or VDT screen at least 85% of the time. May require a valid vehicle operator’s license where needed to perform the d the duties of the position.
