Position Description: The National Healthy Start Association (NHSA) seeks to hire a full time Program Manager to join our national organization Supporting Healthy Start Performance Projects (SHSPP) serving a growing network of community driven, community based, family focused programs that improve birth outcomes, particularly the disparities in birth outcomes. NHSA is a dynamic organization with multiple national partners and a national membership of community - based projects in over 100 locations across the country. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, well organized, and highly motivated candidate to join an exciting team that will organize and lead the technical assistance support for the Healthy Start grantees.

Position Responsibilities • Coordinate multiple projects and programs from varying funding sources • Coordinate and monitor TA and Training calendar and all TA deliverables • Work with Sr. Program Manager to conduct needs assessment, environmental scans with Healthy Start programs to determine TA and mentoring needs • Will ensure the completion of accurate data collection, cataloging, management and reporting of TA and mentoring activities • Work Sr. Program Manager in the development of proposals and required reports and other funding applications • Participate in the development and implementation of meetings, forums and other opportunities for information sharing and exchange • Develop issue briefs, newsletters, fact sheets and other publications • Facilitate the development and sharing of success stories and best practices via multiple communication channels (e.g., website, newsletter, social media) • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all staff and partner engagements – including in-person meetings, webinars, and teleconferences • Identify best practices and model programs related to maternal and child health, women’s health, men’s health, and health equity • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Applicants should have a demonstrated knowledge of maternal and child health, public health theory and practices, and health equity. The applicant should also identify with the community driven, community-based approach of NHSA and its mission to address social determinants of health, elimination of disparities, improvement in birth outcomes and improvement of quality measures for families. Education and Experience • Master’s degree in public health, social work, or other equivalent human services or health-related degree required. • A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated program development, implementation, and management. • Experience in Maternal and Child Health and one other area: Women’s Health, Men’s Health, or Health Equity • Strong verbal and writing skills, including reports and public presentations; group process skills • Knowledge of research methodology, analysis, and report writing • Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills and concrete multi- tasking skills • Computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook • Knowledge and experience with federal grants, federal cooperative agreements, oversight and reporting responsibilities • Preference given to applicants with experience working with a local HS project or similar community-based organization • Ability to work in a 100% remote environment
