Position Description: This position is for a postdoctoral fellow in investigations of health-relevant environmental exposures and child health. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has completed doctoral-level training with interest in environmental health, health equity, nutrition, molecular epidemiology, life course research, translational science, systems biology or other fields related to exposomics research. Strong communication and analytical skills and experience manipulating and analyzing large complex databases is desired. Work will involve data analysis and manuscript preparation from ongoing NIH funded epidemiologic prenatal cohort studies on prenatal/early life exposures in child respiratory disease and health equity. Applicants will have the resources of an NIH funded Institutional Training Grant (T32HD049311) that has been ongoing for 15 years, with well-established programs in career development, grant writing, data science training and access to CTSA and NIEHS P30 sponsored activities including pilot grant programs.

Duties: The primary responsibilities of this position will be to support ongoing investigations and the development of new studies involving environmental factors (chemical, physical, nutritional and social) and child health. This includes data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant preparation. Training is geared towards preparing for a NIH K grant application or equivalent, and it is our intention that this work will lead to an NIH career development application submitted in years 2-3 of the 3-year fellowship. Fellows will attend and present at division/departmental seminars and relevant research conferences. This position may include opportunities for domestic and international travel.

Qualifications: Doctoral level training or equivalent (e.g. Ph.D.; M.D; M.D/Ph.D.; Sc.D.) in epidemiology, data science, biostatistics, bioinformatics, health services research, quantitative or systems biology, or a related field

Additional Information: Salary is comparable to the NIH stipend rate for each year of experience https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice- files/NOT-OD-21-049.html plus $18,500/year. Work related experience will be considered in determining PGY level.
