Position Description: Our DevOps teamworks closely with other DevOps engineers, software engineers, and various other departments to create and automate, to accelerate the release and deployment process. Having a background in operations and experience in full-stack development, the DevOps Engineer helps drive best practices for scalable and reliable environments.

Your Role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be helping to build and maintain continuous delivery solutions in a cloud infrastructure environment, with experience in AWS and Azure. You will drive continuous integration best practices, utilizing tools such as Jenkins or other technologies. Experience with Chef, Ansible, or Puppet, for configuration management is ideal, as well as experience with Docker. This role collaborates with the software engineering teams on various projects, while helping to establish/refine the Continuous Delivery process, as well as other DevOps required services. Lastly, being able to mentor other DevOps team members is of great benefit to the company and future strategy.

Qualifications: Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience 5 + years of experience in multiple disciplines (i.e., Development, Software Architecture, Operations, etc.) 5 + years' experience in AWS, as well as other cloud infrastructure disciplines. Excellent communication and collaboration with other departments, engineers, and other technology personnel. Hands on experience with enterprise data centers and robust cloud infrastructures.

Knowledge and Skills

Full implementation and management of Kubernetes in a production environment is required Full knowledge with the most common AWS tools and services in a production environment is required (EBS, S3, EC2, Elastic IP, Route 53, VPC, VPN, etc.) Experience with Terraform is a must (Cloud formation is helpful) Ability to be flexible, as well as work on multiple tasks/projects SecOps experience and how to apply this experience to the environments Strong understanding of software development methodologies Must have scripting experience (shell, python, etc.) Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, and GitOps approach is a plus Management tools such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet Strong documentation and organization skills are required Experience with Docker is helpful Must have experience optimizing application infrastructure, both stand-alone and in distributed systems to maximize performance (traditional monolithic, SaaS, serverless, microservices, etc.) Experience maintaining an infrastructure and ensuring stability while adding new features Must be able to articulate design and best practice choices Comfortable with open-source technologies and tools Must be comfortable under pressure in a high traffic/service environment Must communicate and collaborate effectively with the various teams and departments
