Tasks:
- Process biological and other potentially hazardous specimens for chemical drug analysis. (Specimens are defined as blood, tissues, cells, fluids, cervical-vaginal and rectal secretions in these tasks.)
- Develop and validate analytical methods to measure small molecular weight compounds in biological samples.
- Perform serologic and molecular assays and laboratory supports that are pertinent to HIV studies identified by project leads and subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Collect, process, aliquot and store biological specimens. Evaluate antiretroviral drug distribution in specimens/samples.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments used in the laboratory such as Incubators, hot plates, thermometers, water baths and others; and documents for quality management systems (QMS) related activities.
- Maintain experiment records, analyze data, and prepare data/results for presentations and written reports.
