We're seeking a Built Environment Epidemiology Supervisor to join our dynamic team and lead impactful initiatives that support our agency's transformational goals.
As a Built Environment Epidemiology Supervisor, you'll play a key role in advancing our mission by providing analytic and epidemiologic expertise for built environment programs and initiatives. Reporting to the Built Environment Section Manager, you'll lead a team of dedicated professionals to conduct epidemiological investigations and spatial analyses, identify associations between environmental exposures and disease outcomes, and inform programmatic, partnership, and policy decisions.
Some of the work this position will be doing:
Provide technical guidance and direction to staff and partners on built environment issues and spatial epidemiological investigations. Design and lead epidemiological investigations and spatial analyses to identify environmental health risks and disparities within defined populations and geographic areas. Utilize data from diverse sources to inform programmatic actions and identify opportunities for collaboration and policy development. Lead and supervise staff, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Participate in organizational performance measurement and reporting, contributing to strategic planning efforts and discussions. Develop opportunities for student internships and projects to meet programmatic needs and funding requirements.
Work Setting
This is a remote position available to applicants residing anywhere in Washington State, as well as those living near the Oregon/Washington border and the Idaho/Washington border. Attending events or working In-office is rarely required and would be scheduled in advance at the DOH office located in Tumwater, WA.
