| Position Description: |
The HIV/STI Quality Assurance Analyst will work as part of the HIV/STI Surveillance team at Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD), in the Bureau of Clinical Services and HIV/STI Prevention. The Bureau works towards decreasing HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) incidence in Baltimore City. Programs in the Bureau include HIV/STI testing, partner services, linkage to care, epidemiology and surveillance, community engagement, PrEP, and clinical services. The bureau works closely with partners at Maryland Department of Health (MDH), community members, community based organizations, clinical partners, and national organizations on HIV and STI prevention. The HIV/STI Quality Assurance Analyst will review the city entries in the state-wide STI/HIV surveillance system and ensure all data entries are accurate and correct. This can include review of cases that are assigned to partner services staff, and ensure interviews with clients are completed appropriately and correctly, ensure information is documented correctly in the state surveillance system, ensure cases were triaged appropriately, and ensure completeness of internal reports and reports to MDH and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The quality assurance analyst will coordinate with the Reactor Desk Supervisor, epidemiologists, and partner services supervisors. They will coordinate data submissions with MDH. They will work on developing and reviewing internal reports to improve quality of partner services and surveillance work, monitor the teams for improvement, and suggest interventions to increase the effectiveness of public health programming
