| Position Description: |
Seeking Fall 2024 PUBLIC HEALTH intern
Position Summary: The American Kidney Fund educates kidney patients, their families, health care professionals, and the general public about kidney disease prevention and treatment through various print materials, webinars, website content, and health outreach events.
Some of the core responsibilities of the Outreach and Strategic Partnerships Intern are to: • Assist in developing and updating educational health content for Kidney Health for ALL, AKF’s new website focused on health equity in kidney disease • Support the planning and programming of educational health content for Kidney Action Week initiatives. • Complete research that supports the programs and services of the Outreach and Strategic Partnerships team • Provide hands-on support by planning and attending local kidney health outreach events.

| Qualifications: |
The student intern will strengthen their research and writing skills by assisting in the development of informational materials and writing reports. The internship is an excellent opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on public health experience in a professional setting.
American Kidney Fund staff work closely with student interns to create individualized internship projects that both serve the needs of the organization and help the student achieve their personal goals. Our interns come away with deliverables they can showcase to future employers and strong health education experience.
This internship is expected to be around 20- 40 hours per week and 3-4 months in duration, depending upon the successful candidate's credit requirements.
AKF works on a hybrid work schedule with employees working 1-4 days in the office per month.
