Position Description: The Senior Associate Director-Data and Analytics (Sr. AD-Data) serves in a senior role as the technical subject matter expert developing and implementing new tools to accelerate the eradication of Guinea worm disease.

Responsible for strengthening data management and analysis across the Guinea Worm Eradication Program implementation and research teams, including driving and supporting project design, implementation, and programmatic innovation to leverage historical data and provide near-real-time data analyses for program decision-making. Due to the travel locations, Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) will be required.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A doctoral degree in a field related to area of research and seven years of related experience at a senior level, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous supervisory and program/project management experience and international health research management experience post- training is required. International travel required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Doctoral degree in epidemiology, infectious disease ecology, veterinary medicine, or another public health-related field. Senior-level experience related to international health research management and grantmaking experience, along with a demonstrated proficiency in project management, developing and implementing activities, staff supervision, budget preparation, and execution. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, particularly in data science, analytics, or IT. The ability to mentor and develop team members and foster collaborative working environment is essential. Experience in the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods for infectious disease surveillance. Strong background in data analytics including the ability to leverage global health program data to inform public health strategies and decision making in real or near real time. Excellent knowledge of data governance practices, including data privacy, security, and ethical considerations, especially in the context of global health data. Excellent verbal and communication skills including the ability to create clear and impactful reports to communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels. Fluency in French is desired. Demonstrated proficiency in leadership, developing and implementing public/animal health activities in LMIC settings, staff supervision, budget preparation and execution, and partnership building.

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects with diverse stakeholders from inception to completion.

Extensive professional network and demonstrated experience establishing public/private partnerships with multifaceted organizations.

Effective writing, analytics, presentation, and organizational skills.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to The Carter Center on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. ?Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines.?
