Position Description: The Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (SPHTM) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a multidisciplinary team working on a National Academy of Sciences Gulf Research Program-funded project. This project investigates the impacts of several climate change-induced risk factors—such as heat, humidity, tropical storms, and floods— on cardiovascular, respiratory, and mental health outcomes in the Gulf South region of the United States, determines their cumulative effects, and assesses the vulnerabilities to these impacts.

The postdoctoral researcher will actively engage in various scientific activities, including study design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, presenting study findings at conferences, and developing research proposals. Additionally, the candidate will participate in career development activities and will be encouraged to apply for transitional career awards and/or mentored career development awards.

Qualifications: •A doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., epidemiology, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, or statistical modeling) is required.
