Position Description: |
We are seeking a Project Manager that has experience supporting the federal government, commercial, and non-governmental organizations. Considered candidates will have the opportunity to support our nation’s public health initiatives through direct work with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

General Duties:
Supporting and coordinating with leadership, project managers, and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to complete assigned projects on time, within budget and scope Overseeing all aspects of projects including monitoring and summarizing the statuses of each staff person’s tasks and assignments Coordinate with other program managers to ensure all aspects of each task/project are completed The development of a detailed project management program to track tasks and assignment progress Assist with measurable project objectives using appropriate tools and techniques Prepare monthly project status reports for all leadership teams Work with internal partners to identify, analyze and mitigate potential risks, and contract issues Create and maintain comprehensive, professional project documentation, spreadsheets, diagrams, databases, and processes Manage the interaction and communications with all staff and stakeholders. Provide cross-agency policy group support, and planning support for all departmental programs including divisional annual project plans, progress monitoring, and development of metrics and milestones Consistently prepared to present and discuss the status of current activities, requirements, and issues

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a business field (e.g., Program Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Economics) Minimum of six years of professional supervisory/management experience Project Management Professional Certification is preferred Relevant experience must be in program management (e.g., trend and forecast analysis, earned value management, cost benefit analysis, balanced scorecard, activity-based costing, life cycle cost estimating, activity-based budgeting, and gap analysis), personnel management, and project management (e.g., communications plan development, risk management, project management frameworks such as Agile, resource planning and management, conflict management and resolution). Demonstrated ability/experience in successfully developing, implementing, and managing complex, high profile, multi-faceted projects Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing Demonstrated ability to organize and perform multiple tasks at the same time Analytical, problem-solving, and decision- making capabilities
