The Department of Health Outcomes and Behavior (HOB) at Moffitt Cancer Center is excited to announce an opportunity for a tenure-track Faculty Position (Open Rank). HOB Faculty engage in research on health behaviors (e.g., tobacco, exercise, nutrition), cancer prevention and screening, survivorship, health disparities and equity, and health services. Moffitt remains the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida. For the past 20 years, Moffitt has been dedicated to health equity, diversity, and inclusion and has cultivated an environment that honors diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and contributions. Job Responsibilities: Cultivates and sustains a dynamic and independent research program that advances knowledge in the field. | Qualifications: |
Position Requirements: We encourage applicants who hold a Ph.D. (or equivalent degree) in psychology, public health, or another health-related discipline. We particularly encourage candidates with a background in health services research and specialized training in implementation science. Those with expertise in other HOB-related areas will also be considered.
Ideal Candidate: Embraces team science and collaboration with faculty within and outside Moffitt. Demonstrates experience (or potential) as an independent researcher with extramurally funded research studies, presentations at national and international conferences, and a record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications. Demonstrates a commitment to engaging with diverse settings and populations.
