Position Description: |
The Maine CDC is seeking a dynamic manager to take the helm of its Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and lead the State’s public health efforts to eradicate childhood lead poisoning. In this role, you will direct a multi-faceted program that has it all, including primary prevention initiatives; case management service delivery for about 300 lead-exposed children each year; regulatory and enforcement authority to remove sources of lead from children’s home environments; epidemiological surveillance; and informatics. You will plan and direct the strategic uses of CLPPP resources as you lead a highly skilled and diverse staff to advance program priorities.

Qualifications: |
Minimum qualifications are a Bachelors Degree in Public Health or Health Sciences, Health Education, one of the Behavioral Sciences, Public Administration, or Education - AND - four (4) years experience in health program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation - OR - an equivalent eight (8) year combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred candidates will have: • Advanced degree in public health or degree in policy administration • Experience with supervising staff and building effective teams; • Experience with managing complex programs or organizations that provide case management services • Experience with developing, implementing, and enforcing State or federal regulations
