Position Description: |
Johns Hopkins University Department of Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a position based at the Baltimore City Health Department Sexual Health Clinics. The Nurse Practitioner must have an interest in the promotion of sexual health, testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, diagnosis and management of HIV, HIV pre- exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and Hepatitis C treatment. Nurse Practitioners work as providers at the Sexual Health clinics as part of a multidisciplinary team including physician assistants, registered nurses, patient navigators, point of care laboratory staff, phlebotomists, public health disease intervention specialists, and academic researchers. Nurse Practitioners work independently under the supervision of the sexual health clinic's Medical Director.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Must be licensed as an NP in the State of Maryland or other states where practicing. Additional experience may substitute for a master's degree, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of sexually transmitted infections, HIV primary care, HIV PrEP, Hepatitis C, treatments, and resources. Sensitivity in providing care to racially, ethnically, culturally, and sexually diverse populations. Knowledge of spoken Spanish.
