| Position Description: |
Key Responsibilities: Assist in developing, scheduling, and managing content across social media platforms focused on sexual and reproductive health. Create educational, evidence-based content to raise awareness about sexual health, reproductive rights, family planning, and related resources. Monitor social media platforms for engagement, responding to questions, comments, and messages with empathy and accuracy. Stay updated on trends in sexual and reproductive health and integrate relevant information into social media strategy. Collaborate with the team to brainstorm, plan, and execute targeted social media campaigns and initiatives. Analyze and report on social media performance, adjusting strategies to optimize reach and impact. Ensure all content is inclusive, respectful, and culturally sensitive, tailored to diverse audiences and communities.

| Qualifications: |
What We’re Looking For: Willing to commit 10-15 hours/week on completing tasks A background in public health, health promotion, or a related field (pursuing or recently completed degree). A strong interest or experience in sexual and reproductive health and familiarity with related public health issues. Comfort in communicating complex health topics through social media in an engaging, accurate, and accessible way. Solid understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn) and their use for advocacy and education. Strong writing and content creation skills with attention to detail and accuracy in health messaging. Familiarity with social media analytics tools and content management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Canva) is a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Passion for using digital platforms to promote public health education and empower communities.

Plan A is dedicated to improving sexual and reproductive health in rural southern communities through education, advocacy, and access to resources. We are seeking a motivated and passionate Social Media Intern with a background in public health or health promotion to help us engage, inform, and inspire our audience around important health topics.
