Position Description: |
The SHA promotes student and school community access to quality health care and supports the delivery of school health services delivery in the Northeast Region.
This includes through connecting with Department of Health resources to strengthen regional and local infrastructure, with an emphasis on school health. The position coordinates work with the Office of School and Adolescent Health, School Health Officer, Regional Health Officer, other SHA's, and Public Education Department on statewide school health initiatives by assessing, planning, developing and implementing statewide standards, policies, training, and resource materials related to school health.
The SHA also works with schools and communities to support the development of school community partner capacity to address critical health issues affecting children and adolescents. The position also assists the NE Region with vaccine events and outreach such as back to school immunizations.

Qualifications: |
Must possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico, or eligibility for such licensure in accordance with New Mexico requirements, or eligibility for a temporary license issued for employment at a specific institution in New Mexico and three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification.
