| Position Description: |
This is an entry-level position. The Environmental Health Specialist I performs inspections and investigations of public and private establishments and other environmental situations to ensure compliance with local and state health and safety codes. This position will work in assigned program to include retail food establishments, childcares, and body art facilities.

| Qualifications: |
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Environmental Health, or a related field. In lieu of bachelor’s degree, incumbent must have four years of professional experience in a related program. One year of professional experience in a related program. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
