Minimum Training & Qualifications
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing
Current certification as a Registered Nurse
Minimum of two (2) years’ related experience
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position may be considered to qualify for the position
Must maintain a valid Tennessee driver’s license and have reliable transportation due to travel requirements
Specialized Knowledge Must be trained and certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) at hire and maintain certification post-hire
Competencies Basic understanding of computers, printers and other office equipment
Must be proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office
Ability to focus and demonstrate great attention to detail
Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
The ability to use a variety of medical equipment daily.
Ability to perform in a position of significant complexity
Ability to regularly solve difficult problems and occasionally for solving complex problems
Ability to engage in substantial communication with other Knox County Government employees and the public
Ability to use typical office equipment including a multi-line phone, photocopier, calculator, and fax machine
Ability to use tact to resolve issues
Ability to travel approximately 45% of work time to cover service area including Knox and surrounding fifteen (15) counties
Ability to work nights and weekends, as necessary, to perform case management and patient care functions

Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to engage in occasional periods of moderate effort or frequent periods of light physical activity.
