| Position Description: |
The Health Educator I supports the Adolescent Health & Youth Development (AHYD) Program and the Childhood Injury Prevention/Safe Kids Fulton County team by providing information and resources that promote healthy lifestyle behaviors. Major Responsibilities: •Community Education & Outreach •Implement sexual health and adult preparation classes for adolescents ages 10- 19 years. •Provide training for parents, caregivers, and community members on adolescent health and child safety topics. •Administer pre/post assessments and customer satisfaction surveys. •Support community events such as sexual health education sessions, car seat classes, and health fairs. •Promote program initiatives through outreach efforts, including presentations, social media campaigns, and local events. •Collaborate with the FCBOH Communications Department to develop and distribute brochures, news releases, and promotional materials, and to increase awareness through social media.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Occasional lifting of program materials and supplies (up to 25 lbs.); Ability to stand and lead training sessions or workshops for extended periods; Some travel within the local community is required; Ability to work in a variety of settings, including schools, community centers, parks, and other outdoor locations.
