| Position Description: |
A cornerstone of MCN’s offerings to clinicians is our highly rated and effective education resources, training and education offered in both English and Spanish to thousands of clinicians in the United States and worldwide. MCN’s Doctoral Fellow contributes to the design and implementation of training and technical assistance and educational outreach programs regarding environmental and occupation health. This fellowship offers professional growth and learning opportunities in the areas of public health communication, environmental and occupational health, and community engagement regarding disasters and emergencies. The Doctoral Fellow plays a key role in providing training and technical assistance to diverse audiences, including clinicians, community health workers and farmworkers. The Doctoral Fellow position will work closely with MCN staff and community partners to develop resources and ensure effective dissemination across multiple communication channels. Key Projects • Support the implementation of a training and technical assistance program in environmental and occupational health, focusing on farmworker health, pesticide exposure, climate resilience, and worker safety. This includes the development of innovative and cultural appropriate curricula and outreach materials tailored to clinicians, workers, and community stakeholders. • Visualize results and program performance for internal and external stakeholders. • Translate evidence-based environmental and occupational health subject matter into accessible educational content.

| Qualifications: |
• Educational Background – Recently completed a doctoral program, or advanced coursework, in Environmental Health, Occupational Health, Health Education, Social Determinants of Health, or a related public health field. • Language Proficiency – Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are required in order to convey scientific concepts. To be bilingual in English and Spanish is required. • Relevant Experience – Prior involvement in environmental and occupational health programs, as well as experience planning and coordinating health education activities. • Technical Skills – Ability to use Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word) and comfort with computer-based communication tools. • Communication & Organization Have strong organizational and communication skills to convey complex ideas to a wide variety of audiences. • Availability – Must be located in the United States and its territories and able to participate full-time during regular weekday hours to engage fully in fellowship activities.
