| Position Description: |
The Pre-/Post-Award Research Administration Subject Matter Expert (SME) serves as a strategic leader and operational authority for research administration across the School of Medicine (SOM). This role is responsible for exercising independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance, including the interpretation and application of complex federal, state, and institutional policies. The SME leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of research administration processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with institutional goals. The position requires the ability to make critical decisions that impact research operations, funding, and compliance, and to serve as a trusted advisor to SOM leadership, faculty, and staff.
The RAISE office exists to build the capacity of SOM Research Administrators through standardizing processes, interpreting policies, and providing impactful learning opportunities. Help us build a confident RA workforce!
