| Position Description: |
In partnership with CDC, Eagle Health Analytics seeks a Health Scientist to rapidly assess diagnostic testing options and operational strategies to support ongoing responses in DRC and Uganda, advise on U.S. domestic readiness options, produce reports and presentations, and provide short-deadline deliverables to inform CDC leadership decisions.

| Qualifications: |
Education level preferred, MD/PhD or Master’s in public health, biological sciences, epidemiology, or data management. Experience requirements include 7-10+ years including emergency response. Prior experience with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is preferred.

| Organization Description: |
Ebola Response Health Scientist shall deliver rapid, evidence-based technical analysis and operational recommendations on diagnostic testing options for Ebolavirus to: · Support deployment and testing strategies in the DRC and Uganda response contexts; · Advise on domestic surge testing readiness, and stockpiling strategies in the U.S.; and, · Produce written reports, decision memos, and presentations for Senior Advisor, Lab Team Lead, and Incident Manager to inform urgent CDC decisions.
Tasks include: a. Collaborate with CDC staff at headquarters and in overseas country offices to monitor, respond to, prevent, and control infections caused by high-consequence and outbreak-prone diseases pathogens around the world. b. Develop guidance and training materials as well as provide technical assistance to international and domestic public health partners responding to disease outbreaks. c. Develop strategies to improve the collection, analysis, and use of data for surveillance and evaluation of medical counter measures.? d. Develop internal and external-facing communication products to explain disease risk and prevention practices, in collaboration with CDC staff.? e. Develop and prepare data summaries, feedback reports, and presentations for partners and agency leadership.? f. Participate?in calls and in-person meetings with internal and external partners.? g. Provide recommendations for using data for action?through the use of?critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making as it relates to data interpretation and evaluation.? h. Along with SMEs, develop and implement work plans and work with partners (internal and external) to?accomplish?public health surveillance and other program goals.? i. Support program-, center- and agency-led emergency responses for high-consequence pathogens as needed. j. Maintain study/surveillance data and ensuring high data quality standards. k. Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert for study/surveillance data. l. Assist with capacity building for disease surveillance and reporting. m. Develop study/surveillance materials and documentation, such as protocols, data dictionaries, data collection forms, etc. n. Data management and analysis of complex surveillance and study data. o. Prepare written reports and slide presentations summarizing surveillance and study data.
