Position Description: This is a Planner I/MRC Volunteer Coordinator position under the supervision of the Planner II-SES. The incumbent may be required to work during or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency operations functions required of the incumbent include but are not limited to Special Needs Shelters or other emergency functions. This position has access to the following information sets: Southwest Florida Medical Reserve Corps, Preparedness, Epidemiology, and Vital Statistics. Statistics. Statistics. Statistics. Coordinates with Program Manager in development, maintenance, training, exercising, response and reporting activities related to the All Hazards Emergency Operations Plan. The general duties of this position support all activities approved by the Florida Department of Health Department in Lee County and Southwest Florida Medical Reserve Corp (SWFLMRC). Incumbent may be required to work evenings, weekends and infrequent overnight travel supporting the SWFLMRC program. program. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and administration of the local Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) following State and National guidelines. This involves the necessary administrative and coordination of operational activities associated with the community-based program d designed to organize and utilize volunteers w who want to donate their time and p professional skills to promote healthy l living throughout the year as well as to p prepare and respond to public health e emergencies. Responsibilities for meeting a all program requirements as stated in the M MRC Operational Guidelines include, but are n not limited to: •Oversee & coordinate volunteer recruitment, r retention and credentialing •Coordinate volunteer training, exercise, d drills and maintain record of trainings •Coordinate and organize all meetings, m materials, minutes, presentations, trainings a and operating systems •Reporting based upon State and National r requirements •Submitting reports to support funding •Serves as Liaison to the counties comprising the SWFLMRC Completes annual Florida Department of Health Preparedness Expectations and inventory management.

Assists with meeting all related Preparedness Accreditation standards and Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) collection. Serves as back up administrator of the Everbridge/FLHAN Emergency Notification System for DOH-Lee.

Participates in Quality Improvement (QI) activ activities. activities.

Participates with New Employee Orientation, including Preparedness trainings, ICS trainings and N-95 Respirator FIT testing. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFFERED -

•A bachelor's degree from an accredited c college or university and one year of p professional experience in public health p preparedness, or disaster management. •A master's degree from an accredited c college or university can substitute for the r required experience. •Professional or nonparaprofessional experience as described above can be substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Emergency duties may also include in-state and/or out-of-state deployment. •Valid Florida driver license •Taking Confidential Information Out of the Health Department: Prior permission is granted to remove and transport confidential information from the premises of DOH-Lee as defined in the current version of the FL DOH Information Security and Privacy Policy 7. Employee must maintain the minimum required information in their control at all times in a lockable device. Information should be returned to DOH-Lee, by the close of same b business day. If not feasible, prior p permission by the supervisor must be granted t to keep information until the next business d day.
