Position Description: The USF College of Public Health is a leader in the revolution that is revising traditional public health curricula, transforming the educational experience to meet the needs of 21st Century public health scholars and practitioners. The College is actively recruiting three non-tenure earning Practice Pathway faculty ranging from the ranks of Assistant to Full Professor.

We seek energetic, dynamic public health and health care professionals to join us in our effort to ensure that real-world practice experiences are integrated into our curricula and shared in the classroom. These faculty positions will engage in practice- relevant teaching, workforce development and community engagement activities, as well as practice-relevant research and scholarship.

The University of South Florida System-which includes three, separately accredited institutions: USF; USF St. Petersburg; and USF Sarasota- Manatee-is the academic home of more than 50,000 students. A global research university, USF is ranked in the top 30 nationally for research expenditures among public universities, according to the National Science Foundation. In fiscal year 2016, the university was awarded a record $458.5 million in contracts and grants.

Part of USF Health comprising Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health, the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, and USF Health Care, the medical school's faculty practice plan, the USF College of Public Health was founded in 1984 and consists of a faculty of 84 scholars, professionals and leaders serving the educational needs of more than 1,500 students in bachelors, master's and doctoral degree programs. Our faculty are engaged in a diverse portfolio of active research in our community. We are transforming curricula and degree programs at all levels; we are engaging in translational research and the translation of that research to practice; and we are committed to public health workforce and systems development, locally and around the world.

USF Tampa is located in a dynamic and growing metropolitan area of nearly three million residents and offers a wide-range of cultural, artistic, athletic and recreational activities, excellent public schools, close proximity to Gulf of Mexico beaches, and an affordable cost of living.
