Position Description: The Practice Transformation Assistant will provide administrative support for the Practice Transformation Program and work closely with the Coordinator as s/he provides training, technical assistance and coaching to member FQHC staff. The Assistant must be a self-starter, creative, highly organized, and comfortable working at various paces. This is a full-time, temporary, grant-funded position with benefits through September 2018, with a possible extension dependent on funding. The position is suitable for students or applicants wanting to gain non-profit experience and learn more about safety net healthcare providers in the State of Washington.

Qualifications: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS •Associate’s degree in a relevant field (health or administration) OR 2+ years’ experience in project management and/or administrative support • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate to a varied audience •Excellent organization and time management skills •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel •Ability to work independently and as part of a team •Willingness to travel in-state PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •Understanding of federal, state, and private grants •Experience in database maintenance •Experience in event planning and facilitation •Familiarity with GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar

Organization Description: The Washington Association of Community & Migrant Health Centers (WACMHC) is a private, 501 (c)(3) membership association formed in 1985. Our mission is to strengthen and advocate for Washington’s community health centers as they build healthcare access, innovation, and value. WACMHC provides training and technical assistance directly and through collaborative partnerships to Washington’s 27 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in support of the provision of comprehensive, high quality medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare consistent with the goals of the US Department of Health and Human Services’ National Quality Strategy. These health centers serve over 1,000,000 Washington residents with preventive and primary healthcare and enabling serves at over 250 clinic sites across the state.
