Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the OpCon Project Director, the OpCon Project Coordinator will work closely with ICAPheadquarters and country staff to coordinate and manage a multi-country project aimed at enhancing and sustaining HIVcare and treatment programs in countries supported by the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). The Project Coordinator will manage all elements of the project, including workplans, knowledge management, reports, logistics, meetings/conferences, and maintenance of project records and files.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

The OpCon Project Coordinator will:

- Coordinate project-related technical assistance and training activities, including but not limited to: assisting with the development and management of workplans; convening and documenting regular meetings and calls; organizing and disseminating relevant materials and resources; organizing international meetings and workshops; and tracking correspondence, budgets, ethical reviews, and reporting deadlines - Support the OpCon team with the preparation, production, editing, and adaptation of technical assistance materials (e.g., technical reports, webinars, case studies, training materials) - Provide hands-on support for distance education activities, including but not limited to assisting with logistics and with telecommunications platforms Document project activities and help to write and edit reports, policy briefs, notes, and minutes reflecting these activities and their impact - Prepare progress reports and project documents as assigned. - Travel to domestic and international meetings/trainings/consultations as required; estimated travel requirements will be approximately 1 week of domestic travel and 8 weeks of international travel per year.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: EDUCATION

- Bachelor’sdegree in a related field or the equivalent in training, education and experience and at least three years of experience.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated proficiency in project management/coordination of health programs and/or research projects in low-resource international settings - Experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of global health programs is required - Excellent English-language verbal and written communications skills are required Demonstrated talent in writing technical content and training materials is required - Experience working with complex programs involving short deadlines and multiple tasks, in coordination with multiple partners to achieve program results

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Master’s degree in Public or Global Health is strongly preferred - Experience with HIV treatment programs in low-resource settings is strongly preferred - Experience working with PEPFAR-supported programs is strongly preferred - Experience in program evaluation is preferred - Experience with implementation science research is preferred - bFluency in French and/or Portuguese would be a plus

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

- Requires approximately one (1) week annually of domestic (inside of the United States) travel to meetings and trainings. - Requires approximately eight (8) weeks of international travel (involving several individual trips) to program countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and/or South/South East/Central Asia
