Position Description: The Health Sciences Program at Rutgers University-Camden Campus invites applications for a 10-month, tenure-track advanced Assistant or Associate Professor to start in Fall, 2018. The successful candidate will also hold the title of Henry Rutgers Term Chair for five-years or until successful promotion to Professor. Candidates should have expertise in the interdisciplinary field of health sciences along with a more narrowly defined disciplinary affiliation in a field such as psychology, economics, public policy/ public health, or sociology. With the designation of Henry Rutgers Term Chair for this position, we particularly seek faculty engaged in cutting-edge research and teaching that will enhance our growing Health Sciences Program. Teaching responsibilities include the Introduction to Health Sciences and Internship in Health Sciences courses, as well as classes focused on the candidate’s field of expertise. We seek faculty willing to mentor students in hands-on research and able to connect with our diverse student population. Applicants are especially invited to describe cultural competencies, research interests, and related experience as part of the application. Teaching responsibilities for tenure-track faculty is 2-2. Salaries and benefits are competitive.
