Position Description: Duties Include: 1. Train and supervise research team staff and/or contractors 2. Collaborate with VP of Research to establish research direction, goals, and objectives based on varied sources and AANP strategic plan 3. Liaise with internal and external researchers regarding projects’ protocol, scope, budget, and timeline 4. Scan environment to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities related to organizational and Practice- Based Research Network (PBRN) research activities 5. Conduct, promote, and advocate for practice-based NP research and outcomes/ translational NP research, serving as principal or co-investigator for assigned PBRN and general AANP research projects 6. Assist in research timeline development 7. Represent the Association at events as requested; promoting AANP, the NP role, and NP research 8. Oversee IRB applications and compliance 9. Monitor project-specific protocols and procedures and ensure compliance 10. Develop surveys, sampling strategies, and weighting methods (when needed) 11. Develop and implement data analysis plans 12. Compile project-specific reports 13. Generate abstracts, presentations, and posters for conferences and meetings 14. Secure and oversee administration of research grants and other support for NP-focused research from sources such as foundations, government agencies, and industry sources

Qualifications: Qualified applicants possess the following: 1. Minimum master’s degree or bachelor’s degree plus significant experience 2. Minimum five years’ experience in research project coordination 3. Advanced computer competence involving a variety of software products, including Microsoft Office, and data entry, as well as experience with SPSS, SAS, ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online 4. Strong critical/analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 5. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines 6. Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, focused work environment 7. Ability to direct and manage research team staff 8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to perform all communication in a courteous and professional manner
