Position Description: This position requires the ability to develop exercise programs and conduct cardiovascular testing to evaluate and rehabilitate adult participants at the research center. Must be proficient in the following procedures: Adult 12 lead EKG EKG Holter Monitor set up Treadmill Exercise Testing Ambulatory Blood pressure monitoring event recording placement Demonstrates knowledge of indications for various types of stress tests and methods of testing. Follows study protocol and procedures for assessment, preparation, recordings, test performance, test endpoints and recovery monitoring. Notifies the supervising physician of any abnormal pre-test conditions, abnormalities or concerns. Prepares and completes all necessary forms before and after testing for all procedures. Prior exercise testing experience in non-invasive cardiology type lab preferred

Previous experience with clinical research preferred.

Qualifications: Qualification Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or Sports Medicine

Organization Description: The mission of the Emory Clinical Cardiovascular Research Institute (ECCRI) is to better understand the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease and to develop new approaches to the manipulation of cardiovascular function and the treatment of disease. ECCRI brings together clinical investigators from the Division of Cardiology and the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health for collaborative research and knowledge sharing.

ECCRI serves as a focal point for partnership between clinical investigators throughout the University making it uniquely suited for conducting clinical trials in the management and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The institute is actively involved in conferences in cardiovascular diseases, teaching, and publishing in areas involving vascular function, atherosclerosis, heart failure, medical imaging, metabolic and cardiovascular population research and risk assessment. In addition, ECCRI provides training to the under- and post-graduate students, residents, fellows, postdoctoral fellows and MD research fellows in the cardiovascular sciences and cardiovascular medicine.
