Position Description: Under the general supervision of the Preparedness Administrative and Logistics Unit Supervisor, these positions are responsible for the management and coordination of preparedness programs that build response capabilities and resilience throughout Wisconsin. Both positions work closely with the Public Health Emergency Response and the Healthcare Emergency Response programs to identify program priorities, close gaps, and set long/short term strategic goals.

These positions are responsible for reporting work plan progress for grant reporting and serving as liaisons to our local and federal partners.

The Preparedness Training and Exercise Coordinator will have primary responsibility for providing statewide direction and technical support in training and emergency exercises that align with the National Incident Management System standards and are compliant with the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program. The position will play a role in designing, implementing, evaluating, and updating a comprehensive statewide training and exercise plan and conducting preparedness training in all areas related to emergency planning and response.

The Emergency Medical Countermeasures Coordinator manages Wisconsin's programs dealing with distribution of medical countermeasures in an emergency, including use of the Strategic National Stockpile, participation in the federal CHEMPACK program, and fulfillment of the state and county grant requirements for the Cities Readiness Initiative. The Emergency Medical Countermeasures Coordinator will work closely with other program staff to maintain the Strategic National Stockpile plans and advance medical countermeasures preparedness in Wisconsin.
