Position Description: JOB SUMMARY Takes responsibility for application development following industry best practices. Produces solutions by working closely with business users throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. Works both collaboratively and independently among a team of other developers in the areas of requirements gathering, learning industry and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta best practices, solution architecture, and software development methodology.

EDUCATION •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent technical training and experience

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES •Excellent oral and written communication skills •Well-developed and proven organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills •Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities •Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently •Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative/executive staff and patient care systems users •Ability to perform job duties independently with minimal supervision •High capacity for data analysis, data modeling, computer programming, problem- solving, sound judgment, accuracy, and attention to detail •Maintains current knowledge of industry- accepted best practices and trends as applicable •Knowledge of business intelligence reporting and visualization tool architectures, functions, and features •Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and business intelligence query objects •Understanding of SQL and relational and multidimensional designs

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Analytics Developer • Designs and delivers business intelligence applications using QlikView software. • Creates ad hoc data queries and solves data-related reporting issues and document reports created. • Ensures reported output is accurate and matches user requirements. • Performs data and systems analysis to determine best business intelligence solution, e.g., reports, dashboards, scorecards, data cubes.

1. Develops, maintains, and supports code/systems in support of the business needs. 2. Monitors and addresses data quality issues. 3. Understands information systems, data modeling, business intelligence, and relational database design and demonstrates knowledge of how to access multiple information sources. 4. Clarifies and resolves requirements questions. 5. Follows technical guidelines and best practices to ensure a consistently high standard of quality. 6. Resolves recurring technical problems. 7. Makes recommendations for next steps and long-term improvements. 8. Resolves defects or deficiencies with completed development, updates documentation, and provides training to support team members on completed development as necessary. 9. Provides technical support for applications analyst as needed.

Qualifications: EXPERIENCE •2 years of experience with developing in business intelligence reporting software such as SQL Server Reporting Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Cognos •Experience in SQL, .NET, Visual Basic, and ASP programming languages •EPIC Clarity experience needed •Knowledge of medical terminology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS •Experience in a healthcare setting •2 years of experience in QlikView •EPIC Clarity certification preferred
