Position Description: A bright, hardworking individual with strong communication and organizational skills is sought for a new part-time Interviewer position for some community based health research projects in the Division of HIV, Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.

Reporting to the Project Director (PD), and working alongside the CRC and Assistant CRC Field Staff, the Interviewer/Survey Researcher will primarily execute data collection and field-site survey administration procedures of the PULSE Study, a 3- year community based project assessing the cardiac health of 250 homeless women.

Under the general supervision of the PD and Principal Investigator (PI), the Interviewer/Survey Researcher’s primary responsibilities will be 1) data collection: administering structured quantitative survey interviews to subjects at the community based field site, collecting and managing data from quantitative resources, phone screenings and additional quantitative and qualitative data collection for relevant sub-studies 2) project assistance: escorting patients during imaging visits, if needed, and data related administrative support to the PD where requested and 3) other assessment-related support as assigned by the PD, e.g., assisting with survey testing, performing data entry and cleaning and coding data.

This position requires a strict adherence to protocols and safety guidelines, with an emphasis on organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. In addition, the successful candidate must possess a warm and nonjudgmental manner, and consistently demonstrate interpersonal tact, discretion, and sensitivity when interacting with study participants.
