Position Description: Job Summary: Conduct timely disease intervention functions to control and prevent HIV/STDs. Provide STD/HIV education to patients, their partners, clinicians and other community members. Counsel patients on their diagnosis and potential treatment options. Conduct patient interviews to elicit partners and other epidemiological data. Perform investigations to gather information using an array of resources. Coordinate testing and treatment for infected and affected individuals.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND Six months of related experience OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience in a related area OR Four years of experience in a medical related field OR licensure as a registered nurse AND One year of nursing experience OR One year of experience at the lower level Communicable Disease Spec 1 (HCP080) or position equivalent. Copy of Official College Transcript and a GA Motor Vehicle Report must be submitted with application.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience as a Communicable Disease Investigator in a Public Health setting. Completion of Passport for Partner Services/ISTDI. Bilingual
