Position Description: The Program Coordinator will work along with the program’s Quality Improvement Advisor (QIA) and Program Manager to help launch and support a new Quality Improvement Learning Collaborative (QILC) in South Carolina. Significant travel is required. Specifically, the Program Coordinator will assist the QIA to support the participating sites QI teams at FQHCs in South Carolina in developing and implementing an Improvement Plan to achieve competency in the delivery of high quality contraceptive services. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Program Manager in the coordination and delivery of all training and technical assistance to be offered both onsite and via webinar that each site will need as part of its participation in this capacity building initiative. In addition, the Program Coordinator will assist the QIA in documenting plan-do- study-act (PDSA) cycles and the overall program implementation process, coordinating learning sessions for the purposes of training as well as for reporting on quality measures and improvement activities, soliciting feedback from the sites about aspects of the project and their experience as participants, monitoring deliverables, coordinating and writing reports for the funders and providing other logistical and administrative items which are critical to the success of the project. This position is currently grant funded for 1 year with the possibility of an extension for additional years subject to future funding.

Responsibilities

Assist the Program Manager to develop and adapt existing teaching tools, modules, and materials to current best practice guidelines. Assist the Program Manager in recording, data entry and analysis of training attendance and evaluation data Assist QIA in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quality measures data. Write reports to communicate practice improvements for both internal and external audiences. Arrange and/or assist QIA and Program Manager in providing technical assistance and training for staff and providers of participating sites Coordinate other collaborative meetings with participating sites, as needed. Assist the QIA in documenting PDSA cycles and overall program implementation toward the development of reports to funders. Processing invoices and recording program expenditures Handle other logistical and administrative tasks related to the program, as needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required 2+ years of clinically relevant experience; family planning knowledge and experience preferred Knowledge of principles related to quality improvement helpful Ability to analyze and present data to groups and individuals Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, staff and external organizations Must be willing to travel to and within South Carolina frequently throughout the project, at times for a full week at a time, to participate in meetings and onsite trainings Driver’s license strongly preferred. Excellent time management, attention to detail, organizational and communication skills required Excellent project management skills Successful candidate will possess strong computer skills, with proficiency using Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.
