Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Organizes, coordinates, and implements all research and non-research activities related to overall data collection associated with recruitment, screening, tracking, and follow-up of participants in various community-based research studies designed to measure and/or improve health outcomes.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Coordinates, administers, and implements research and non-research activities associated with various community-based research studies.

Coordinates and implements screening, recruitment, and interviews of study participants.

Coordinates scheduling of physiologic and self-reported data collection of study participants for various qualitative and quantitative measurements.

Coordinates and audits study participant charts to ensure appropriate data, signatures and other required information is complete and accurately recorded.

Maintains a log of research procedures and protocols for quality assurance and review.

Coordinates and assists with the collection of physiologic clinical and self-reported data according to specifics of research protocol, including but not limited to blood pressure and blood specimens.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Prepares and disseminates relevant research findings to study participants and participating centers or departments

Represents the Principal Investigator at relevant research meetings and related activities, as required.

Works as a contributing member of a research team and acts as a contact person and community liaison providing information as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Research Assistants, Student Assistants

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree preferred. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Experience: 2-4 years of related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Masters Degree Psychology, Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, or related field. Degree must be from a regionally accredited college or university.

Experience: (2) years of experience with clinical prevention/intervention research and recruitment efforts, including (1) year of administration and/or supervisory experience. Experience with physiologic data collection is preferred.
