Position Description: The Senior Research Assistant will primarily serve as a Practice Facilitator for the Oregon region of the Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) program under the direction of the managing physician and the Care Management Plus team. The Senior RA will focus on leading coordination for regional learning and diffusion activities and facilitating practice transformation efforts. Key responsibilities for this position consist of administrative and research skills including: • Lead administrative and logistical support for all learning and diffusion activities for Oregon practices including in-person meetings, project training courses, webinars, virtual and on-site practice facilitation • Monitor and track CPC+ practice progress and send periodic global emails • Complete monthly virtual practice outreach requirements for assigned Oregon practices • Receive, screen, log and route all correspondence for CPC+, attach necessary background information and maintain follow- up system for action and deadlines • Track deadlines and work with other team members to ensure completion of deliverables such as curriculum development, periodic reports, and weekly outreach documentation • Provide user technical support, real-time training, and develop a- synchronous distance training modules for CPC+ curriculum • Develop robust understanding of CPC+ functions and practice transformation strategies • Contribute to team planning to accomplish project objectives • Perform literature reviews • Prepare abstracts and manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals • Train new Research Assistants on activities related to CPC+ • Assist with data collection and cleaning • Identify grant opportunities and assist coordination efforts for grant submissions.

This position may additionally serve as named project manager for additional research projects -- assigning tasks, ensuring deliverables and timeframes are met, and performing administrative functions as required.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in social science research, public health, epidemiology, or related field plus 1-3 years relevant experience • Experience using an EHR interface or familiarity with a health IT platform • Experience writing manuscripts for submission • Strong translation skills with the ability to understand implications of findings in relation to scope of practice • Team-centered work style in order to maintain good working relationships with providers and staff to improve research success • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to coordinate all aspects of project with principal investigator and staff including workflow and priorities • Must take initiative and be productive with minimal supervision • Actively participate in team projects • Ability to prioritize assigned work based on project team goals and needs Preferred Qualifications: • Courses in research methods, clinical informatics, statistics, and/or scientific or technical writing • Experience writing grants for submission • Experience with Microsoft Access Databases • Commitment to continued learning

The team continues to focus on interdisciplinary efforts to improve the quality of care for patients with chronic illnesses using care managers and information systems.
