Position Description: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s healthcare, seeks a Senior Research As Research Associate to lead key scientific and systems and systems direction of assigned studies in Primary Car Primary Care Research.

Some tasks include: 1. Provide key scientific and systems directio direction in the development and execution of resea of research projects by the Pediatric Research Research in Office Settings (PROS) network. 2. Provide key scientific and systems oversig oversight and support for the development of proposa proposals for future funding, continuation applica applications, and progress reports. 3. Develop, oversee and maintain data and pr and process management systems and direct PROS p PROS projects as assigned to ensure scient scientific and financial integrity and progre progress of these efforts. 4. Develop and manage comprehensive commu communication plans to maximize recruitment and r and retention of participants in PROS studi studies. 5. Establish and maintain effective comm communications with Fellows and other PROS inve investigators on project work. 6. Oversee activities to ensure ongoing com compliance of assigned studies with the Hea Health Insurance Portability and Acc Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and Ins Institutional Review Board (IRB) req requirements for assigned projects. 7. Develop, oversee and maintain sy systems to track status of contracts, bu budgets, and expenses for assigned projects an and ensure compliance with funder and fe federal requirements. 8. Develop, execute and present results o of statistical analyses for selected p projects. 9. Write research articles and scientific abstracts for peer-reviewed jour journals and professional research meetings. 10. Develop agendas and materials for PRO PROS research meetings and attend/present at the these meetings. 11. Represent the network and/or di division at professional research co conferences and committee meetings as re required. 12. Train and supervise assigned staff.

Qualifications: Qualifications Needed: 1. Master’s degree in s social/behavioral/clinical sciences, public h health, business, or related discipline r required. Doctorate preferred. 2. Five years of clinical/public health or social science research experience required, including research project management, all aspects of research planning and data analysis, and some peer-reviewed resea research products. 3. Supervisory experience preferred. 4. Proficiency with MS Office and exp experience with database (i.e.: Access) and sta statistical software (i.e.: SAS, SPSS) req required. Excellent verbal/written com communication, analytical, and organization ski skills required, as well as proficiency in MS MS Office and familiarity with statistical sof software for graphical presentation of data. 5. Must be able to work collaboratively in in a multidisciplinary setting. Interest in a a variety of child health research issues pr preferred. 6. Some evening/weekend work and travel r required.
