About the Position
Reporting directly to the Director of Global Health Programs, the Health Programs Officer is responsible for supporting partners and collaborating with other staff to draft proposals for national and regional programs, to engage in formative research, to support the development of communication strategies and the implementation of programs, to identify indicators for program monitoring and evaluation, and to participate in the development and facilitation of workshops and trainings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Program Delivery by working with staff and partners to implement programs as planned within resources, foresee and troubleshoot challenges, and manage program expectations, including:
Conduct formative research to develop comprehensive situation analyses to inform program design;
Use and develop tools, processes and best- practices to ensure all developed strategies and communication materials are of the highest quality;
Contribute to tools and indicators for monitoring and evaluation, sharing of lessons learned;
Create and track communication messages for diverse participant groups across communication outputs;
Manage and support the development of SBCC materials (e.g. compendiums and toolkits, infographics)
Develop and update work plans and budgets;
Write program narrative and finance reports;
Write program-related publications;
Organize and participate program-related meetings;
Develop and track contracts, procurements and other administrative tasks.
Support Program Development
Identify potential partners;
Develop concept papers and costed proposals.
Support Program Communications
Work with the communications team on program updates for social media;
Write, edit and format documents and presentations.
