Position Description: Are you a skilled professional that enjoys developing, troubleshooting and managing web- based applications critical to the success of an organization? If this is you, apply to join us as a Systems Engineer, Online Food Worker Card Class system. This is a Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE) position.

This position will serve as the technical lead in support and development of the online food worker card class system. The primary site, https://www/, serves all local health jurisdictions in the State of Washington providing food worker education for over 300,000 food workers each year. This position requires a broad range of knowledge and continual learning. You will be the systems administrator and technical lead for a system that currently includes two web applications, a desktop application, and related supporting systems in an AWS/Microsoft environment. Knowledge areas include ASP.Net/C# web development, MS SQL Server programming and administration, Amazon Web Services, Network engineering and configuration, and Windows Server Operating Systems.

Some of what you'll do: •Support and troubleshooting applications, infrastructure and services •Design, code, test, and implement fixes and enhancements to the application •Document application, system specifications, and services •Coordinate and manage vendors in support and development of the application

MCSE, MCP, CNA, CISSP) Job Specific Technical Skills: •Expert level knowledge and expertise in computer technology principles, their application and troubleshooting techniques, equipment, capabilities and administration of hardware, software and network configuration. •Specialized technologies, such as applications, tools, systems and databases. •Data and network security, backup and data recovery. •Ability to detect, diagnose and correct the source of errors in logs. •Perform high level system analysis, troubleshooting, identification and resolution of issues with the design, development, implementation and maintenance of information system, and recommend solutions. •Skill in programming and system analysis and integration. •Skill in the use of Windows server environments. •System performance and reliability testing.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in computer engineering or computer science; And, four years of experience with network services, experience with directory trees, routers, switches and hubs; Or the equivalent education and experience. Desired: Previous experience leading IT system projects and/or systems design focused on new systems/IT infrastructure development; Possession of current industry related certifications relevant to Information technology. (ex. MCSE, MCP, CNA, CISSP)

Ability to successfully pass a background investigation. Possession of valid Washington State Driver's License and acceptable driver's abstract.
