Position Description: C2C seeks an experienced social change leader who will take C2C’s model for sustainable healthcare delivery in Haiti to widespread scale and impact. The Executive Director is the chief development officer for C2C. We are looking for a creative, strategic, entrepreneurial leader who will drive business development for C2C by targeting strategic partnerships and institutional funding relationships to catalyze significant growth for C2C within 2 years. The new Executive Director will lead the organization’s rapid replication of our community clinic model across northern Haiti and will manage a talented Haiti-based team to achieve metrics-driven success.

Core Responsibilities:

Business Development and Strategic Partnerships The ED will identify and secure funding and partnership opportunities for C2C that will enable the organization to double in size within 2 years. ? Identify and leverage strategic partnerships with major institutional partners in the international development and global health space to advance organizational growth ? Design and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy, setting and meeting aggressive targets for revenue growth ? Manage the foundation relations portfolio and target key growth relationships ? Build relationships with influential stakeholders, supporters, and collaborators to generate a groundswell of support for C2C’s next 5 years of growth ? Secure major gifts and lead donor relations by working with the Board of Directors to significantly increase the base

External Relations and Thought Leadership.

The ED will leverage opportunities to collaborate with a broad range of peer organizations, academic institutions, media and affinity groups, including: ? Serve as the public face of C2C, exhibiting a compelling, expert message about health systems transformation in Haiti ? Develop and demonstrate expertise in C2C’s social enterprise model (unit economics), impact framework, and complex health services landscape in Haiti ? Identify and secure opportunities to write and speak about C2C’s innovative approach to health systems transformation in Haiti ? Cultivate and project an organizational culture of creativity, innovative and tenacity

People Management.

A strong in-country operations team provides local leadership and expertise. The ED supports their success by managing the strategic trajectory of the organization. The ED coaches, mentors and serves as a thought partner to management staff, helping to establish and guide the achievement of annual goals. ? Oversee and ensure effective programming in Haiti by leading a 3-person, Haiti-based management team, led by the Chief Operating Officer) ? Manage one US FTE and 2 part-time contractors ? Develop C2C’s staffing model and talent pool as we grow and expand, adding capacity in marketing and communications, and fundraising ? Communicate and demonstrate C2C’s core values of innovation, efficiency, creativity, and patient- centricity internally and externally in all the organization’s activities and relationships

Qualifications: Additional Qualifications: • Demonstrable experience leading organizational growth (as measured by budget growth). This includes demonstrated responsibility for management of budgets (P&L) of a minimum of $1.5M or greater in size. • Experience building strategic relationships with peer organizations, educational institutions, think tanks, and/or similar organizations. • Demonstrable track record of expanding the scope, impact, and visibility of an organization. This includes specific experience growing fundraising levels by a minimum of 2x-3x within a two-year period, establishing significant new foundation relationships over this period, and retaining continuous annual foundation funding relationships for 3+ years. • Experience building a compelling thought leadership platform • Experience managing Board relations, leading governance functions, supporting Board leadership through meeting management and advancing strategic priorities. • A tenacious, flexible, creative problem-solver. Works easily with ambiguity and uncertainty. Appropriately balances risk. Demonstrates a track- record of entrepreneurial, independent leadership. Sensitivity to and experience working in the developing world and with a diverse staff.

Organization Description: C2C operates a network of community-based primary care clinics in northern Haiti serving over 25,000 patients each year. Founded in 2009, C2C has a long history of health programming in Haiti – first as a disaster relief effort after Haiti’s devastating earthquake and, since 2013, as a social business model for healthcare that seeks to transform the healthcare sector in Haiti. C2C’s low user-fees ensure the highest quality care for patients and long-term financial sustainability for the health system. C2C employs 40+ people in Haiti and a 2-person team in the US. Our partnership with the Haitian Ministry of Health is central to our value proposition and expansion plans as we replicate and scale the clinic model.

Additional Information: This position is based in Boston and requires the ability to travel up to 30%, both domestically and to Haiti.
