Job Summary: Westat is seeking a research assistant to work as part of a small evaluation team in the areas of homelessness and housing, public health, and vulnerable populations, among others.
Job Responsibilities: • Work on the development of both qualitative and quantitative data collection tools. • Monitor data collection and prepare data for analysis (both qualitative and quantitative). • Conduct preliminary data analyses (using both statistical packages and qualitative software) and graphically representing the data findings. • Assist in the writing of reports and articles.
Basic Qualifications: • A master’s degree in social sciences or health related field is required.
At least 1 year of experience in research methods is preferred.
Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; detail- oriented and work well in a team environment.
