Position Description: The Project Manager will be the focal point for communications and dissemination of information to participating Marshfield Clinic clinicians and staff, stakeholders, and study sponsor. The Project Manager position combines administrative and evaluation-related responsibilities such as overseeing data collection procedures, IRB and compliance reports, preparation of presentation material and background documentation, and monitoring project success using appropriate tracking and feedback systems. The Project Manager will work closely with CCEPH administration to manage study resources, budget, and project deliverables. The Project Manager will assist with resolving study related conflicts and team member understanding of roles and responsibilities to retain positive engagement throughout the project. The Research Project Manager will also provide support for future research in a variety of areas that may include vaccine safety and effectiveness, cancer or cardiovascular disease care, and other epidemiology projects. The two Project Manager positions will be responsible for efficiently and effectively executing directives and objectives for the following studies:

Position 1 - PROSPR/MESA Project Manager: This position will be dedicated to one research project (PROSPR) and to build and maintain the infrastructure of the Marshfield Epidemiologic Study Area (MESA). Population-based Research to Optimize the Screening Process (PROSPR) is the National Cancer Institute (NCI) program to promote research aimed at evaluating and improving the cancer screening process. Marshfield Clinic is a study site in the new Lung Cancer Screening PROSPR network. In collaboration with PROSPR network colleagues at NCI and other participating institutions around the country, CCEPH scientists will conduct a wide range of population-based research to better understand how to improve the lung cancer screening process from beginning to end (patient eligibility, recruitment, screening, referral for diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes) in community healthcare settings. MESA is a geographic region defined by zip codes where the great majority of residents choose to receive medical care at Marshfield Clinic, its regional centers and affiliated hospitals. It is a unique resource for population-based health research when combined with health data from the Marshfield Clinic. Since 1994, research conducted using MESA data has resulted in more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications and numerous presentations across a wide variety of epidemiologic and clinical topics. MESA as a resource has also played a key role in externally funded research grants, including the PROSPR network above.

Position 2 – NCI Prospective Cancer Cohort Study Project Manager: This position will be dedicated to Marshfield Clinic’s participation in a newly launched 10-year study to build and follow a multicenter cohort of 150,000-200,000 healthy adult participants from integrated health care systems. Through collection of biospecimens, extensive survey data, and links to electronic medical records, the goal of the project is to better understand the genetic, environmental, behavioral, and clinical risks of developing or dying from cancer. Marshfield Clinic Health System is collaborating with Henry Ford Health System in Detroit and HealthPartners in Minneapolis to recruit and enroll 20,000 study participants in this prospective cancer cohort.

Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in project management, organizational management, business administration, nursing, or other health science field or related field.
