Position Description: • Research, analyze, and prepare reports related to New Jersey immunization rates including relevant comparisons to national and regional rates. • Develop competency with various CDC population and vaccine management systems. Be able to utilize identified systems to ensure accurate reporting to the CDC and manage vaccine spending and distribution. • Develop competency with the New Jersey Immunization Information System (the Registry) and its contained reports to support program operations. Be able to digest reports and aggregate data as required. • Support the Vaccines for Children Program by completing analysis of the immunization activity of its providers. • Maintain, analyze and clean data collected by the program including the Annual Immunization Status Report (ASR) and the Influenza Voluntary Immunization Survey (IVIS). Develop and complete all standard tables, reports and master databases from the respective data and be able to report on findings in multiple formats. • Assist in design, implementation, collection, and analysis of population- based and educational research studies as outlined in the 5-year immunization program strategic plan to improve and increase immunization coverage rates among children, adolescents, and adults. • Prepare immunization data reports for dissemination for technical audiences and the general public. Be able to accurately assess and explain strengths and limitations of data as it relates to immunization rates, disease surveillance, population assessment and the Vaccines for Children Program. • Assist in the design and implementation of databases and other data collection tools (e.g., surveys) to assess immunization and exemption rates within New Jersey. • Work with various stakeholder groups and identify areas with low immunization coverage within New Jersey. • Work with various programs within the Vaccine Preventable Disease Program to design, analyze data or prepare reports as needed. • Use statistical techniques such as geographic information system (GIS) to better assess and illustrate immunization coverage rates. • Create, review and update standard operating procedures for data collection and analysis including, but not limited to, the ASR. • Respond to inquiries from the general public, local health departments, and other stakeholders regarding program data including immunization and exemption rates in New Jersey. • Other duties related to vaccine preventable disease research and biostatistics

Qualifications: Master of Public Health (MPH) degree or other relevant Master’s degree. Experience with research, collection, manipulation and analysis of bio-statistical health data.
