Position Description: The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford seeks applications for the full-time position of Research Associate II in the Division of Health Policy and Social Science Research, Department of Family and Community Medicine. This person will work in collaboration with faculty and staff in the division. This position is responsible for conducting research and evaluations including research designs, evaluation protocols, data analysis, and disseminating results. This individual will work with community partners and/or clients to support on-going funded research.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position must have a bachelor’s degree in social science or related field, a minimum of one year related research experience and knowledge of research concepts, practices and procedures. A Master’s degree with five years’ experience is preferred. Knowledge of and experience setting up evaluation designs for federal, state and local grant projects; statistical knowledge and use of statistical software; excellent analytical capabilities; and the ability to design administer and analyze surveys in an online platform is preferred. Qualities such as responsiveness, flexibility and willingness to accommodate diverse clients’ timelines and information needs are vital.
