Position Description: The College of Health Sciences and Nursing at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2019. Job responsibilities include teaching graduate nursing courses in statistics and biostatistics and undergraduate public health courses in epidemiology and global health. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, student recruitment and college and university service. Ph.D., DrPH or progress toward a terminal degree is required; teaching experience and a record of scholarly work strongly preferred. As all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly seeking applicants who can demonstrate the interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in this program.

Qualifications: Earned doctoral degree in epidemiology or closely related discipline, a promising record of original research publications on topics related to health outcomes or healthcare services research, a commitment to quality teaching, and demonstrated ability to work within interdisciplinary teams required. Successful candidates will have research experience relevant to the clinical setting.
