Position Description: DDPHE seeks a Quality Management Specialist for our Office of HIV Resources. This position will report to the Quality Administrator allowing an expansion of the quality program. The position will offer quality focused education, support and guidance to subrecipients to impact change on a s on a systemic level which would ultimately improv improve the client and provider experience, health healthcare outcomes and resource utilization.

Job duties and responsibilities of this po position include, but are not limited to, th the following:

•Provides/coordinates education, training and technical assistance on Quality Management issues for all funded providers and subrecipients •Offer monthly virtual open houses regarding q quality activity •Provides Quarterly Quality Improvement (QI) Training for subrecipients, Denver HIV R Resources Planning Council (DHRPC) members •Attends subrecipients’ Quality Committee m meetings •Facilitates annual DDPHE DHR Quality C Committee to determine quality goals for the D Denver TGA •Supports subrecipients requests for quality-related technical assistance (TA)

Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have:

•A Master’s Degree in a related field is p preferred •Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS (history, e epidemiological profile, transmission, p prevention, treatment, sociopolitical i issues). •Knowledgeable about quality management and q quality improvement. •Demonstrated experience with Ryan White P Part A programs, health policy and e evaluation. •Excellent written, oral, presentation, f facilitation and interpersonal skills. •Ability to handle and prioritize multiple, d diverse assignments. •Ability to plan and carry out complex p projects. •Experience working with professional and c clinical staff. •Comfort navigating within and among diverse i institutions with competing priorities. •Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding of issues facing low-income communities; a ability to work comfortably in diverse c communities and settings; high level of c cultural sensitivity. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and oth and other basic email and web software.

•Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in P Public Administration, Management, S Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a a related field. •Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of p professional or technical level experience o organizing the administrative aspects of a p program(s) or training program participants a and/or volunteers. (Some positions may r require experience in a specific program a area.) •Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.

DDPHE works collaboratively with city, state and community partners to conduct education, community engagement, and enforcement to promote healthy people, healthy pets, and a sustainable environment. DDPHE oversees a number of services related to public health and the environment and is comprised of seven divisions: the Executive Director’s Office; Community Health; Public Health Inspections; Denver Animal Protection; the Office of Medical Examiner; Environmental Quality, and the Office of Sustainability. DDPHE’s Office of HIV Resources serves as the Ryan White Part A grantee and is responsible for investing Federal funding in HIV-specific care and related services through a network of comprehensive, cost-effective programs. These programs benefit people living with HIV and those affected by HIV who reside in the six effective programs. These programs benefit people living with HIV and those affected by HIV who reside in the six-county (Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson) Denver Transitional Grant Area (TGA), by offering access to services such as primary health care and HIV pharmaceutical services. The office also provides guidance and technical assistance to HIV care and service providers to ensure that people living with, or affected by, HIV in the Denver TGA receive the highest quality care and support.
