Position Description: Purpose: The Regional SOAR Navigator (C) {SS {SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SO (SOAR)} will be responsible for SOAR out outreach and enrollment activities for Mic Michigan Prosperity Regions 6, 9 and 10. The These regions are within the Southeast cou counties of the Lower Peninsula. Candidates pur pursuing this opportunity should live within the the same geographical area as the region the they will be supporting. Extensive travel wit within these counties with meetings held in Lan Lansing will be required.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Complete SOAR outreach and e enrollment activities in Michigan Prosperity R Regions 6, 9 and 10. • Coordinate with certified Michigan S SOAR practitioners based in assigned regions t to ensure regional SOAR coverage. • Identify and communicate any c challenges or issues impacting the SOAR p process in assigned regions to the SOAR S Specialist and assist with addressing them. • Attend Continuum of Care (CoC) m meetings in assigned regions as schedule p permits. • Participate in bi-monthly technical assistance check-ins and Michigan’s Annual S SOAR Meeting. • Support SOAR Specialist with stat statewide coordination and implementation acti activities as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Possession of a bachelor’s degree degree is required.

Experience: At least one year of direct expe experience with the SOAR process.

Important Skills and Characteristics: Ex Excellent written and verbal communication sk skills; ability to collaborate productively in in a team environment; with strong pa partnership building.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Position will be based in an MDHHS-assigned field office within Prosperity Region 6, 9 or 10 (exact county TBD based on employee selected). These regions are within the Southeast counties of the Lower Peninsula. Regular travel within assigned regions and to the Housing and Homeless Services office in Lansing required. Occasional out-of-state travel required.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position is responsible for successfully completing SOAR outreach and enrollment activities and ensuring SOAR coverage within assigned regions for Michigan state travel required.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No as assigned responsibility.

IMPACT ON PROJECTS, SERVICES AND OPERATIONS: This position is responsible for successfully completing SOAR outreach and enrollment activities and ensuring SOAR coverage within assigned regions for Michigan’s SOAR Initiative led by MDHHS.
