Position Description: The CDC Foundation seeks candidates for a part time Data Linkage Consultant to support the CDC. This position is part time, and works less than 20 hours a week and will work remotely. This role will provide support in developing and executing predictive algorithms and probabilistic identity resolution algorithms to link multiple datasets on opioid overdoses and embed overdose information into the PMP to alert physicians about patients with substance use disorders who may need treatment or case management support. RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide subject matter expertise and consultation on improving linkage algorithms. • Test and develop programming modifications. • Provide guidance with the deployment and enhancement of enterprise- wide Identity Management solutions. • Capture user identity administration exceptions and determine and document course of action for resolution. • Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology. • Perform design, development, implementation, testing, analysis, data organization and writing technical reports. • Develop new algorithms as well as improvements applied to previously developed algorithms.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering /Physics or related field. • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in predictive and probabilistic linking algorithms development. • Minimum of 7 years’ industry and research experience developing algorithms for data processing, pattern recognition and computer vision applications. • Demonstrated progressive and current work experience engineering, customizing, and integrating of enterprise Identity management solutions. • Demonstrated experience leading and participating in troubleshooting, managing, and solving issues related to identities. • Demonstrated experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, C/C++, Python, or JavaScript. • Algorithm prototyping and performance evaluation. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with particular experience reviewing and editing documents. • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; collegial; energetic; and able to develop productive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners.
