Position Description: RTI International seeks a Public Health Analyst to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. The individual will conduct public health research and evaluation activities in support of the Global Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Initiative. Under the guidance of the Senior Public Health Practitioner for Global NCDs, s/he will serve as research assistant on implementation science projects related to the global burden of NCDs, especially projects related to access to essential medicines for chronic conditions. The initial hire will be temporary for 6 months, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent position.

Responsibilities: • Research complex health policy issues and conduct literature reviews using published and web-based health sources. • Extract, analyze, and summarize e epidemiologic and health policy information. • Support the development and i implementation of new methods to estimate a access to essential medicines. • Assist with the collection and a analysis of qualitative data, such as key i informant interviews. • Conduct data analysis using various tools including Excel, Global Burden of Disease, and WHO’s One Health Tool, among o others. • Prepare project reports, memos, emails, and other program and project-related communications.

Qualifications: Education and Experience • Master’s degree in public health OR, • Bachelor’s level degree in science, public health, economics, or a public policy related field and two years’ related expe experience including: o Experience in international dev development, health policy, or global hea health; and, o Experience conducting data co collection activities and literature re reviews. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Demonstrated understanding of, based o on research and/or academic study, basic p public health and global health policy i issues. • Demonstrated proficiency with MS W Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. • High level of familiarity with P PubMed or similar databases. • Demonstrated organizational skills w with attention to detail and a demonstrated a ability to manage multiple projects s simultaneously, prioritize among work d demands, and deliver impeccable quality p products. • Demonstrated oral and written c communication skills. • Individual initiative and ability to u use tools to communicate electronically with a a global team
