Position Description: The Integrated Behavioral Health Program in the College of Health Solutions at ASU invites dynamic applicants for an Associate Professor position to begin August 2019. We seek candidates with research interests in integrated behavioral health, population health, or multi-morbidity and health outcomes. Successful candidates will be expected to: conduct independent research that is publishable in premier academic journals; maintain a competitive, externally funded research program; exhibit and maintain high-quality teaching and mentorship at the graduate level, and should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with others in a collegial environment. Additionally, faculty are expected to engage in university and scholarly/professional service activities. Teaching expectations include graduate courses in integrated behavioral health and mentoring of doctoral students in research.

Qualifications: Required Qualifications 1) Doctorate or terminal degree (PhD, ScD, MD/DO, DBH, DSW, or DrPH) in integrated behavioral health or related fields such as healthcare, behavioral health, integrated health, health psychology, health behavior change, clinical psychology or social work. 2) Experience with writing and securing grants:evidence of ability to obtain extramural funding commensurate with rank. 3) Experience conducting and publishing research: evidence of a peer reviewed, publication history commensurate with rank. 4) Experience teaching courses at the university level: evidence of successful university teaching commensurate with rank. 6) Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of colleagues, students, and staff

Desired Qualifications 1) Potential to secure Arizona licensure in a mental health or medical discipline. 2) Experience teaching graduate level courses and mentoring graduate students in research and publishing. 3) Experience in developing and maintaining community partnerships and inter-professional collaborations. 4) Experience and research focus in dissemination and implementation research, social and health care disparities, population health and multiple chronic disease and/or women’s health.

Organization Description: College of Health Solutions The College of Health Solutions (CHS) is dedicated to translating scientific advances into practical interventions to improve health outcomes through education, research and service. We equip students with the knowledge and skills to influence healthier lifestyle choices; develop creative interventions to improve the health of people and populations; analyze and translate large amounts of health data into solutions; and maximize the technology, science, business and application of diagnostics. CHS research programs encompass basic/discovery science, clinical trials, intervention science and measurement of health outcomes. In all cases, CHS faculty use interdisciplinary approaches to address the complex systems that underpin health problems. The college is highly collaborative, transparent and team-oriented with an innovative organizational structure that includes translational teams, affinity networks, and academic programs to improve the health of people and communities. The current training programs include behavioral health, biomedical diagnostics, biomedical informatics, executive and continuing education, exercise science, health promotion, health sciences, kinesiology, medical studies, nutrition, population health, the science of health care delivery, and speech and hearing science. Our programs are offered at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, West and Lake Havasu campuses, as well as on Mayo Clinic’s Scottsdale campus.
